Remote Access VHF

It's hard to use the VHF radio in it's fixed position. It's also hard for the co-captain in the port side seat to hear the VHF radio.

We added a RAM4 to our Standard Horizon GX1800 radio. It's a fully functional remote mic that is able to operate the entire VHF radio from this handset. It's also a speaker that directs towards the passenger on the port side.

We use our VHF radio a lot and this makes it so much easier, especially when we're at anchor and underway.
