Bottom Paint!

Chanel Surfing has been in salt water now for a couple of years. I think it's time for a good cleaning and new bottom paint.

The slideshow of pics runs in reverse. From clean to dirty. Hauled out, took her to the spa for a pressure-wash. Bottom paint is later this week. With any luck, I'll pick up some mpg with the new paint.

It should take 1 gallon. So best to buy 1 gallon and a quart just in case it needs a little more. Also, don't forget to do the Yamaha F300 nose case and the engine transom mount.

What bottom paint are you going to use? I have had good success with Pettit Odyssey Triton here in the Chesapeake Bay.

The factory did the bottom paint, as bought Channel Surfing without a trailer and she's kept in salt-water year-round. They always put on Sea Hawk AF-33. I'm putting on Sea Hawk Cukote.
